Center Transfers IAS Officer Kashish Bakshi from Odisha to Bihar Cadre

The Government of India has approved the transfer of Ms. Kashish Bakshi, IAS (Odisha cadre, 2024 batch), from the Odisha cadre to the Bihar cadre. The transfer was sanctioned under Rule 5(2) of the IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954, following her marriage to Shri Virupaksh Vikram Singh, IAS (Bihar cadre, 2024 batch).

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the notification on 04 December 2025, confirming concurrence from both the Odisha and Bihar state governments. The Odisha government has been requested to relieve the officer immediately, while the Bihar government has been asked to furnish her joining report to the DoPT.

Copies of the notification have been marked to the respective Chief Secretaries, the Accountant General offices of both states, and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.
