Dr Anguluri Suryachandra Rao to take charge as Director of IITM, Pune
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr. Anguluri Suryachandra Rao to the post of Director, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune.
Dr.Anguluri Suryachandra Rao served as a senior Scientist at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. He obtained his Masters in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from Andhra University, and pursued his Ph.D at National Institute of Oceanography, Goa.

Dr. Rao worked as a senior scientific officer at Institute of Marine affairs (Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies)in 1998.He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Frontier Research Center for Global Change, Japan from 1998to 2000.
Further, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Girish Kumar Agarwal, Retd. Chief Engineer, Central Water Commission (CWC) as Assessor in the Ravi & Beas Water Disputes Tribunal (RBWT).
