SJVN Launches Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 Across Projects and Offices
Shimla, May 2026:SJVN Limited has launched the nationwide observance of Swachhta Pakhwada 2026, reaffirming its commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, environmental awareness and sustainable development across all its projects and offices.
Chairman & Managing Director Sh. Bhupender Gupta urged employees to actively participate in the activities being organised throughout the fortnight-long campaign.
Swachhta Pledge at Corporate Headquarters
At the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel) administered the Swachhta Pledge to employees in the presence of Sh. Pankaj Porwal, Chief Vigilance Officer, along with senior officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma emphasised that through collective efforts, SJVN aims to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness among surrounding communities.
Participation Across Offices and Projects
At the Liaison Office in Delhi, Sh. Parthajit De, Director (Finance) administered the Swachhta Pledge to employees. Similar pledge ceremonies were organised across SJVN’s projects and offices nationwide, reinforcing the organisation’s dedication to cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
Activities Planned During Swachhta Pakhwada
Observed from May 16 to May 31, 2026, in line with the directions of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, the campaign includes:
- Cleanliness drives
- Awareness campaigns
- Plantation activities
- Declamation competitions
- Community outreach programmes
- Waste management and environmental conservation initiatives
Through these initiatives, SJVN continues to support the national mission of Swachh Bharat, encouraging participation from employees, students, and local communities while promoting sustainable development.
