POWERGRID Declares Rs 4.50 Interim Dividend, Secures Rs 6,000 Crore Loan from SBI

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a public sector company under the Government of India, announced a significant set of approvals after its Board of Directors meeting on Monday, November 3, 2025. The Board approved an interim dividend for the current financial year and finalized a major funding arrangement. It also reviewed the company's financial performance for the first half of the year.

Key Decisions: Interim Dividend and Strategic Funding  
POWERGRID's Board approved the payment of a First Interim Dividend of Rs 4.50 per equity share. This represents a 45% dividend on the paid-up equity share capital, with a face value of Rs 10 per share, for the Financial Year 2025-26.

The company set the Record Date for dividend payment as Monday, November 10, 2025. Eligible members will receive the dividend on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Standalone Financial Performance Review  
The Board reviewed and approved the Unaudited Standalone Financial Results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025.

Half-Year Performance (April - September 2025): For the first half of the financial year, the company showed a modest increase in total income and profit compared to the same period last year.

Total Income rose to Rs 22,605.15 Crore for the half-year ended September 30, 2025, up from Rs 22,233.71 Crore during the same period in 2024.

Profit for the period, including the net movement in Regulatory Deferral Account Balances, increased slightly to Rs 7,208.03 Crore compared to Rs 7,123.31 Crore in the first half of the previous year.

Earnings Per Share (EPS), also including the regulatory deferral account balances, stood at Rs 7.75 for the half-year, compared to Rs 7.66 recorded a year earlier.

Quarterly Performance (July - September 2025): For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, the company reported a Profit for the period, including Regulatory Deferral Account Balances, of Rs 3,554.80 Crore. This figure was lower than the Rs 3,711.16 Crore reported in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
