New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) today, on 04 November 2025, launched the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 at its Headquarters. The campaign was formally inaugurated by CMD, Shri J. P. Dwivedi.

In his inspiring address, Shri Dwivedi stated that DLC Campaign 4.0 marks an important milestone in WCL’s journey toward digital empowerment. He emphasized that the initiative aims to provide convenience, transparency, and timely services to retired employees. Highlighting the importance of technology in governance, he said that simplifying service delivery through digital means is a true step toward ‘Ease of Living’.

He congratulated Team WCL and all partner institutions for their efforts and urged all pensioners to make the best use of this facility. Shri Dwivedi officially announced the launch of Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0.

Director (HR), Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, in his address, elaborated on the usefulness of the Digital Life Certificate and its benefits for pensioners. He mentioned that WCL has always been committed to the welfare of its retired employees, and this campaign stands as a testament to that commitment.

The program began with a welcome address by General Manager (Industrial Relations / Pension), Shri P. Narendra Kumar, who outlined the objectives and background of the DLC Campaign 4.0, along with details of various activities planned under it. Regional Commissioner–I, CMPFO Nagpur Region, Shri Shashank Raizada, explained the significance and process of submitting the Digital Life Certificate. Member, Board of Trustees, CMPFO, Shri Ashish Murty, also addressed the gathering and extended his best wishes for the success of the campaign.

On this occasion, Director (Finance) Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director (Technical – Operations / Project & Planning) Shri Anandji Prasad, Steering Committee members Shri C. J. Joseph, Shri S. H. Beg, and Shri S. R. Gabale, along with GMs, HoDs, officers, staff, and retired employees, were present in large numbers. The WCL Pension Department played a key role in organizing the event.
