ACC Appoints IRPS Officer Sasanka Sarmah as NEEPCO's Chief Vigilance Officer

NEW DELHI: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Sasanka Sarmah (IRPS, 2002 batch) as the Chief Vigilance Officer for the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) in Shillong. NEEPCO operates under the Ministry of Power.

Mr. Sarmah will serve in this role at the Joint Secretary level for an initial term of three years, starting from the day he takes over.

As an officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service from the 2002 batch, Mr. Sarmah has over two decades of experience in administration, personnel management, and vigilance. His appointment is expected to strengthen NEEPCO's governance and operational integrity, highlighting the organization's commitment to ethical management.
