Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) reported marginal revenue growth and steady progress in 5G expansion during the third quarter of FY26, even as the telecom operator continued to face financial pressures.
Revenue from operations rose 1.9% year-on-year to ₹11,323 crore in Q3 FY26. EBITDA stood at ₹4,816 crore, with margins improving slightly to 42.5%. Net loss for the quarter narrowed to ₹5,286 crore, compared with ₹6,609 crore in the year-ago period.
During the quarter, Vi expanded 5G services across all 17 priority circles, covering nearly 99% of its revenue base, and is now operational in 43 cities, including full coverage across districts in Kerala.
The company also strengthened its 4G network, with population coverage increasing to 85.5% and total broadband sites rising to 548,027. Average 4G speeds improved by 22% compared with March 2024.
Subscriber metrics showed improvement, with blended ARPU rising to ₹172 from ₹163 a year ago. Customer ARPU (excluding M2M) increased 7.3% to ₹186, while the total subscriber base stood at 192.9 million.
Vi raised ₹3,300 crore through non-convertible debentures during the quarter, with cash and bank balances at ₹6,963 crore as of December 31, 2025. The company said it remains focused on network investments, customer experience, and financial restructuring.
