Critical Care workshop at NCL
Singrauli: If you're in a life-threatening or emergency medical situation, First Aid - the care given before emergency medical help arrives - can literally mean the difference between life and death. Keeping this in mind, CIL organized a workshop on 'Comprehensive Emergency Life Support' at Nehru Shatabdi Chikitsalay (NSC), Jayant in Northern Coalfields Limited.
A team of Critical Care Specialists from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, trained the doctors and paramedical staff of NCL on standard operating procedures and important methods of dealing with emergency medical conditions.
Over 100 doctors and paramedical staff of NCL were trained to deal with various types of medical emergencies. They were also trained to perform various procedures in emergency situations, including unconsciousness, heart attack, persistent bleeding etc. Training was also imparted on popular methodologies of basic & advanced life support.
