The event will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams, and registration is required. Participants will receive the meeting link after completing the registration process.

Key Focus Areas of the Webinar

The session aims to help financial institutions and community organizations understand how the VITA program provides free tax return preparation services to eligible individuals. An Internal Revenue Service (IRS) representative will explain how the program operates and how it benefits working families and underserved populations.

In addition, an FDIC examiner will outline how banks that support VITA sites may receive favorable consideration under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), offering institutions an incentive to participate in community-focused tax assistance initiatives.
