Marios Hadjikyriacos Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ancoria Bank
Ancoria Bank has announced the appointment of Marios Hadjikyriacos as its new Chief Executive Officer, following formal approval from the Central Bank of Cyprus. He has also been inducted as an Executive Member of the Bank’s Board of Directors.
Hadjikyriacos brings with him over two decades of extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector. He began his professional journey in 1998 and has since held senior leadership roles in Cyprus and internationally, particularly in the areas of investments, capital markets, private banking and wealth management.
Prior to joining Ancoria Bank, he served as General Manager of Wealth Management at Eurobank Cyprus and as Deputy Director of Private Banking at Eurobank Group, where he played a key role in strengthening customer focused financial services and strategic growth.
Academically, Hadjikyriacos holds a degree in Finance from Baruch College City University of New York and an MBA from the University of Cyprus, providing a strong foundation for his leadership in the evolving banking landscape.
Welcoming the new Chief Executive Officer, Dr Demetra Plati, Vice Chairperson of Ancoria Bank’s Board of Directors, said that the Board was confident that his proven leadership and deep understanding of the Cypriot market would drive the Bank’s strategic transformation and reinforce its role as a vital pillar of the national banking system and society.
With this appointment, Ancoria Bank aims to further strengthen its market position and advance its long term growth and innovation agenda.
