BEL invites applications for Medical Officer post at Machilipatnam unit
New Delhi: State-owned defence electronics major Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has invited applications for the post of Medical Officer on a fixed-tenure basis at its Machilipatnam unit in Andhra Pradesh, according to an official notification issued on January 29, 2026.
The Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence is looking to hire one Medical Officer for an initial period of five years, which may be extended by up to two additional years based on organisational requirements and individual performance.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a recognised university, along with a certificate of training in Industrial Health (minimum three months) or a Diploma in Industrial Health or equivalent. Applicants are also required to have a valid medical registration issued by the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council.
The maximum age limit is 32 years as on December 1, 2025, with applicable relaxations for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and ex-servicemen, as per government norms. A minimum of two years of post-qualification medical experience is mandatory, excluding academic or teaching roles.
Pay & Posting
The selected candidate will be inducted in the E-II grade, with a pay scale of ₹40,000–₹1,40,000, along with applicable allowances. The annual cost-to-company (CTC) is approximately ₹12 lakh.
The initial place of posting will be the Advanced Night Vision Products Factory (ANVPF), Nimmaluru, though BEL reserves the right to post the candidate at any of its units across India.
Selection Process
Selection will be conducted through a written test followed by an interview, with weightage of 85% and 15% respectively. Candidates qualifying the written test will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:7 ratio. BEL will reimburse train fare for outstation candidates attending the interview, as per company norms.

General, OBC and EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹472, while SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates are exempted.
