New Delhi, 6 March, 2026: Engineering consultancy and transport infrastructure company RITES Limited has received a revised project estimate worth ₹729.28 crore for railway electrification work from South Western Railway, according to a regulatory filing made with the stock exchanges.

The order relates to electrification of key railway sections in Karnataka, including the **Mysuru–Hassan–Mangaluru corridor and the Hassan–Arsikere line.

Railway Electrification Project Details

The contract has been awarded on a cost-plus turnkey basis, meaning the project cost will include execution expenses along with service fees for RITES.

The filing also clarified that the transaction is between a government organization and a government-owned company, and therefore does not fall under related party transactions.
