Bengaluru, March 6, 2026: BEML Limited has strengthened its employee welfare initiatives by launching creche facilities across its major complexes and introducing a revised POSH Policy 2026, aimed at promoting a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment.
The creche facility at the company’s Bengaluru Complex was inaugurated by Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy. At the same event, similar facilities at BEML’s complexes in Kolar Gold Fields, Mysuru, and Palakkad were launched virtually.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the company’s functional directors including Anil Jerath (Director–Finance), Debi Prasad Satpathy (Director–HR), Sanjay Som (Director–M&C), Rajeev Kumar Gupta (Director–Rail & Metro), and Sachin Digde (Director–Defence), along with complex heads, women executives, and senior officials.
Focus on Employee Welfare
The newly established creche facilities are designed to support working parents, especially women employees, by providing a safe and nurturing space for their children within BEML’s major operational complexes.
The initiative reflects the company’s broader commitment to gender-inclusive growth and employee-centric policies.
Revised POSH Policy 2026
During the event, BEML also officially released its revised POSH Policy 2026, aligning it with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
The updated policy reinforces the company’s commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and equitable workplace, while promoting dignity, equality, and mutual respect across the organisation.
Building Inclusive Workplace Culture
BEML said that initiatives like the creche facilities and the updated POSH policy highlight the company’s focus on building not just machines that power India’s infrastructure and defence sectors, but also a workplace culture based on care, safety, and inclusive growth.
