New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has issued a vacancy notification for filling one post of Joint General Manager / Additional General Manager (E5/E6 level) at its Area Office, Ranchi, under the East Zone, on a deputation basis.
The position is open to eligible officers from Indian Railways, Production Units, Railway Training Institutes, and Railway PSUs, particularly those belonging to the Commercial or Traffic Departments. The deputation will initially be for a period of three years or until IRCTC is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption, whichever is earlier.
Applicants should be graduates in any discipline, possess relevant experience in Commercial/Traffic operations of Indian Railways, and be below 56 years of age as on the closing date of the vacancy notice. Officers with IT exposure will be given preference. The selection will be carried out as per the procedure prescribed by the Ministry of Railways.
The selected officer will be responsible for overall administration, business development, and supervision of catering and tourism activities across three divisions of South Eastern Railway—Chakradharpur (CKP), Adra (ADRA), and Ranchi (RNC). The role also involves overseeing the tourism profile of Jharkhand and parts of Odisha, and coordinating with Railways and other government agencies to enhance IRCTC’s catering and tourism business in the region.
The post carries pay and allowances as per IRCTC policy, with parent pay plus deputation allowance. The pay scale for Additional General Manager (E6) corresponds to Level-12 of the 7th CPC, while Joint General Manager (E5) corresponds to Level-11 of the 7th CPC, both under the CDA pattern.
