The wholly-owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holding Ltd, ACME Hybrid Urja Private Ltd, has secured a long-term project funding of Rs 3,184 crore from REC Ltd for the development and construction of a 280 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy Project (FDRE), a significant project in line with NHPC Ltd.
The Government-backed NBFC, REC Ltd, will serve as the sole lender for this project thereby provided long-term financing for 18 years. This is the third financing initiative by REC Ltd for ACME Solar’s FDRE project, following the financing of two other FDRE projects earlier this year, with a cumulative capacity of 570 MW.

The financing initiatives strongly remarks the strong confidence of leading lenders like REC Ltd in ACME’s project development & execution capabilities. The company signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC at a tariff of Rs 4.64 /Unit.
The significant NHPC-backed project combines multiple renewable energy technologies, including Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to meet the supply obligations and ensures dispatch scene in the energy sector.

The funding is a huge benchmark as a growing confidence in India’s Renewable Energy Sector and also reinforces the nation’s milestone to achieve the clean and sustainable energy solutions in line with the government’s vision for Net-zero carbon emission.
