EIL lan NPCIL nandatangani MoU kanggo kapabilitas energi nuklir India
EIL and NPCIL have signed an MoU to collaborate on the Bharat Small Modular Reactor (BSMR) project. This partnership will see EIL provide engineering services for the conceptual design of this nationally important project, which aims to boost India's nuclear energy capabilities.
MoU was signed in Mumbai by Director (Commercial), EIL and Director (Technical), NPCIL, in the presence of Mrs. Vartika Shukla, CMD EIL & Shri B.C. Pathak, CMD NPCIL
New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL) and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) have signed a landmark MoU on 12th August 2025 for engineering services towards the conceptual design & development of the Bharat Small Modular Reactor (BSMR) – a project of national importance in advancing India’s nuclear energy capabilities.
The MoU was signed in Mumbai by Director (Commercial), EIL and Director (Technical), NPCIL, in the presence of Mrs. Vartika Shukla, CMD EIL & Shri B.C. Pathak, CMD NPCIL, along with senior management from both organisations.
This partnership supports GoI’s vision to accelerate nuclear power, enabling clean, green, and reliable energy to strengthen India’s energy security and is a step towards Nuclear Energy Mission for Viksit Bharat, targeting a nuclear power capacity of 100 GW by 2047.
