NMDC Achieves 23% Revenue Growth and Record Q1 Production in FY26

NMDC reports a 23% revenue growth in Q1 FY26, producing 11.99 MT of iron ore and achieving its best first-quarter performance ever. Turnover reached Rs 6,634 crore.

NMDC Achieves 23% Revenue Growth and Record Q1 Production in FY26

As India’s largest iron ore producer, NMDC shared its Q1 FY26 results, showing record production and sales figures. The company produced 11.99 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore during the quarter, a 30% increase from 9.19 MT in Q1 FY25. Sales were at 11.52 MT, which is a 14% year-on-year rise from 10.07 MT in the same quarter last year.

On the financial side, NMDC recorded a turnover of Rs 6,634 crore in Q1 FY26, up from Rs 5,378 crore in Q1 FY25, representing a 23% growth. Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached Rs 2,644 crore, and EBITDA was Rs 2,777 crore.

The company credited its strong performance to operational efficiency, strategic planning, and the use of technology that allowed for higher production. As the largest supplier of iron ore in the country, NMDC plays a vital role in meeting the rising demand from India’s steel industry.
