GRSE Advances Women's Health with 'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan' Initiatives
Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) conducted health-focused programmes for women under the Swasth Nari Shashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA).

Kolkata, 27 September 2025 – Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare by conducting a series of health-focused programmes under the Swasth Nari Shashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA), a nationwide campaign inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to enhance women’s health and empowerment.

On 25 Sep 25, GRSE’s Medical Department organised a comprehensive medical camp at the RBD Unit, focusing on the health needs of local women. The camp provided services including tuberculosis and diabetes screening, medical consultations, and free distribution of medicines.
A health awareness session was also organised for GRSE’s women contract employees, covering critical topics such as cervical and breast cancer, anaemia, bone health, and lifestyle diseases.
On 26 Sep 25, a dedicated awareness programme was held for CISF women personnel, reiterating these themes to strengthen preventive healthcare practices.
On the same day, GRSE’s Women in Public Sector (WIPS) Cell organised an inspiring talk titled “सौ समस्याएँ, एक समाधान-स्त्री शक्ति” (Hundred Challenges, One Solution – Women’s Power) by Ms. Ritu Bhalotia, corporate trainer and founder of Impact Growth Academy, who emphasised women’s role in family well-being and highlighted the importance of stress management, self-care, and empowerment.
On the occasion, Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), CMD, GRSE, Capt (IN) P Sunilkumar (Retd.), Director (CP&P), Shri Rajiv Srivastava, GM(HR&A), and other senior officials and employees were present.

GRSE’s participation in SNSPA is part of a broader commitment to social responsibility. The company has been actively conducting health awareness workshops, offering nutritional counselling sessions, and distribution of health kits to women in underserved communities, in alignment with the campaign’s vision of preventive healthcare and women’s empowerment.
