New Delhi:  In a heartwarming step towards community well-being, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with AIIMS Nagpur to launch its CSR project, “Dhwani”, aimed at providing cochlear implant treatments for children from economically weaker families.

With a total investment of ₹65.50 lakh, the initiative will fully sponsor 13 children aged seven years or below from BPL/EWS families, helping them regain the gift of hearing and transform their lives.

The MoA was signed by Shri Rajesh Ralhan, Regional Director, RI-IV, Nagpur, CMPDI, and Prof. (Dr.) Prashant P. Joshi, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Nagpur. The event was graced by Shri Nripendra Nath, Director (T/RD&T), CMPDI, who emphasized the institute’s commitment to sustainable and meaningful CSR initiatives that directly improve community well-being.

Shri Nath remarked, “Projects like Dhwani reflect CMPDI’s dedication to supporting underprivileged children and creating tangible social impact. Our aim is to empower communities through targeted interventions that make a real difference.”

This initiative aligns with CMPDI’s ongoing efforts to contribute to social welfare and health, particularly for children in need of critical medical assistance.
