New Delhi: In a significant move to bolster India's energy self-reliance and environmental sustainability, Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, signed a strategic collaboration agreement with global technology leader Honeywell during India Energy Week 2026 in Goa.
The agreement was executed in the august presence of Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. The partnership aims to synergize EIL’s world-class engineering and project execution capabilities with Honeywell’s global technological expertise to deliver advanced, efficient, and environmentally compliant solutions for the refining sector.
A core aspect of the collaboration builds upon EIL’s recent indigenous innovation, EngSulfTG™️ – a Tail Gas Treating Technology that enhances sulphur recovery in refineries up to 99.9% (wt), supporting cleaner operations and compliance with stringent environmental norms. This alliance is aligned with India’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision, focusing on technology partnerships, sustainability, and reducing import dependency in the hydrocarbon sector.
The agreement is expected to drive the adoption of next-generation refinery technologies, reduce carbon footprints, and enhance the global competitiveness of India's refining industry.
