POWERGRID signed MOU with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited for Digital Substation Collaborative R and D Project

New Delhi: A Memorandum of Agreement for Digital Substation Collaborative R&D Project has been signed between POWERGRID & Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on 12th September, 2019 at POWERGRID, SR-I, Kavadiguda, Secunderabad.

 

The MoA was signed by Shri B. N. De Bhowmick, ED, T&D and Dr. C. N. V. Ramana, GM, Head Corporate R&D, BHEL, Hyderabad in august presence of Shri Avinash M. Pavgi, CGM(IC), SR-I and other senior officials of POWERGRID and BHEL.

 

As part of this MoA, Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and Optical Current Transformers (OCTs) will be developed which will be validated at POWERGRID Advanced Research & Technology Centre, Manesar and further field trials will be carried out at Bhiwadi 400/220 kV Sub-station of POWERGRID. This will enable development of indigenous devices for digital Sub-stations.
