New Delhi, 11 September 2025: With an agenda to improve the IT infrastructure and fast-tracktechnological transformation, the Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL), a Government of India undertaking, has signed an MoU with the public sector lender Punjab National Bank, offering faster, more reliable, and more customer-centric digital services.

The agreement specifies that TCIL will provide specialized expertise in the initiative field of IT consultancy, project management, and turnkey execution of complex technology. The collaboration is subject to delivering more robust, secure, and regulatory-compliant solutions to reinforce the PNB’s digital core structure, improve the operational resilience, and facilitate the seamless innovation support in customer service.

The main areas of support include the RFP lifecycle management, system integration, IT infrastructure rollout, and regulatory-compliant technology deployment.

TCIL will serve as Project Management Consultant (PMC) or Project Implementing Agency (PIA), ensuring solutions aligned with PNB’s technology roadmap and customer priorities, depending on the requirements.

This collaboration, according to the terms, will enable the state-run bank to adopt new and finished technologies at speed and ensure secure and compliant operations while offering customers quicker, more reliable, and digitally enabled banking experiences. The MoU also supports the Government of India’s Digital India vision, reinforcing trust in technology-driven financial services and advancing the nation’s digital banking landscape.
