Over 1 Lakh Livestock Farmers Join DAHD’s Virtual Awareness Program on Animal Husbandry
New Delhi, The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), part of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, organized a Virtual Awareness Program for livestock farmers in Western and Southern States and Union Territories.
The event took place through the nationwide Common Service Centres (CSC) network and saw over 100,000 livestock farmers participating.
Union Minister of State, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, led the session and emphasized the government's commitment to helping the rural livestock sector through sharing knowledge and providing support when needed.

The virtual session covered important topics that are essential for the health and productivity of livestock, including:
- Breed Improvement Techniques
- Timely Vaccination
- Zoonotic Disease Control
- Scientific Sanitation and Hygiene Practices
Using the CSC platform, the initiative reached farmers even in remote villages. This awareness campaign is part of the government's larger goal to improve animal health, enhance rural livelihoods, and equip farmers with scientific knowledge.
