NITI Aayog signs SoI with NIIT Foundation for Digital Literacy, Financial Inclusion & Skill Development in Aspirational Blocks
New Delhi: NITI Aayog has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with NIIT Foundation to advance digital literacy, financial inclusion and Skill Development across Aspirational Blocks.
The partnership was formalised in the presence of Shri. BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog and Shri. Rohit Kumar, Additional Secretary and Mission Director, ADP&ABP, NITI Aayog.
The collaboration specifically focuses on Digital Literacy, Financial Inclusion and Skill Development, along with employability skills and community-based learning and will be implemented across selected Aspirational Blocks to ensure 100% block coverage, reach nearly 1.2 lakh beneficiaries and achieve at least 40% women’s participation.
NIIT Foundation will lead on-ground implementation through trained mobilisers and trainers, while building the capacity of community facilitators, SHG leaders and peer educators to ensure sustained impact beyond the Programme duration.
This partnership aims to create resilient, inclusive and future-ready Aspirational Blocks, contributing meaningfully to improved development outcomes and India’s digital growth story.
