Shri Hardeep Singh Gill & Shri Karm Singh Karma Join Safai Karamcharis Commission

New Delhi, February 23, 2026: Shri Hardeep Singh Gill and Shri Karm Singh Karma have assumed office as Members of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis with effect from February 23, 2026 (A/N).

Shri Hardeep Singh Gill has been actively involved in social and organizational initiatives at both District and National levels. His work spans community development, drug abuse prevention, youth empowerment, social awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, and grassroots engagement, reflecting a long-standing commitment to inclusive development.

Shri Karm Singh Karma, President of the Akhil Bharatiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh, Delhi Pradesh, has championed the welfare of sanitation workers and marginalized communities. He has consistently advocated for their rights, occupational safety, social security, education, healthcare, and livelihood support, strengthening organizational structures and amplifying the voices of Safai Karamcharis at multiple forums.

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment welcomed both Members, highlighting their leadership and experience as vital to advancing the Commission’s mission of ensuring the dignity, welfare, and socio-economic upliftment of Safai Karamcharis across India.
