PESB Announces Director (Projects) Vacancy at NBCC (India) Ltd

New Delhi, February 25, 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Navratna CPSE under the administrative control of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

The vacancy, advertised under Advt. No. 29/2026, carries a pay scale of ₹1,80,000 – ₹3,40,000 (IDA) and is a Board-level position.

Role & Responsibilities

The Director (Projects) will be a member of the Board of Directors and report to the Chairman-cum-Managing Director. The role includes:

Execution, implementation, and maintenance of projects (PMC & EPC)
Handling redevelopment and real estate projects
Managing overseas projects and business development activities

Eligibility Criteria

Age

Minimum: 45 years
Residual Service Requirement:
- Internal candidates: Minimum 2 years residual service
- Others: Minimum 3 years residual service
Superannuation age: 60 years

Qualification

Engineering Graduate from a recognized University/Institution
Preference: Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
MBA / PGDM desirable

Experience

At least 5 years of cumulative senior-level experience in the last 10 years
Exposure in Projects / Marketing / Business Development
Sector: Construction / Infrastructure / Real Estate

Employment Status

Applicants must be employed in a regular capacity in one of the following:

CPSE (including Functional Directors)
Central Government Group ‘A’ Officers / Armed Forces / AIS
State PSE (₹5,000 crore+ turnover)
Private Companies / JVs / Federations (₹5,000 crore+ turnover; preference to listed companies)

Pay Scale & Service Requirements

Eligible pay scales include IDA and CDA scales ranging from pre-1992 to Level 14 (CDA).

Internal candidates: Minimum 1 year in eligible scale
Others: Minimum 2 years in eligible scale

Central Government officers are eligible only on immediate absorption basis.

5 years from date of joining
Or until superannuation (60 years)
Or until further orders
