Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd appoints two IAS officers on Board as Additional Directors

New Delhi: Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd has announced some changes in the Board of Directors panel with the following approvals which is done on the basis of recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

1-Appointment of Dr, Rajender Kumar, IAS, as Additional Director in capacity Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company, subject to approval of shareholders by way of Postal Ballot;

2- Appointment of Mr. Ashwani Kumar, IAS, as Additional Director of the Company, subject to approval of shareholders by way of Postal Ballot.

Ashwani Kumar is a 1997 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre who has served as Principal Secretary to Government, Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar. He holds a technical background from IIT Kanpur, and has contributed significantly to urban development, housing, sports, cultural initiatives, and governance reforms in Gujarat.

Dr. Rajender Kumar is a 2004-batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), belonging to the Gujarat Cadre. He holds a B.A.M.S. in Ayurvedic. He has over two decades of experience in public administration, public policy and development economics across leading national and international institutions.
