POWERGRID Unchahar Transmission Limited Announces Board Changes

Powergrid Corporation in its regulatory filing today states that consequent upon superannuation of Shri Purshottam Agarwal from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), holding company of POWERGRID Unchahar Transmission Limited (PUTL) – the Investment Manager to POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT) on October 31, 2024, Shri Purshottam Agarwal has ceased to be Non-Executive (Non-independent) Director of PUTL – the Investment Manager to PGInvIT w.e.f. October 31, 2024.

Further, in continuation to our letter dated October 23, 2024, it is informed that Shri Sanjay Sharma, Chief General Manager, POWERGRID, has been appointed as an Additional Director - Non-Executive (Non-independent) Director of PUTL w.e.f. November 01, 2024, by the Board of Directors in its meeting held on October 23, 2024.

Who is Sanjay Sharma Additional Director - Non-Executive (Non-independent) Director of PUTL:

Shri Sanjay Sharma is a B. Tech (Electrical) from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. He carries more than 30 years of experience in the areas of commercial, regulatory, contracts management, telecom marketing, funding, corporate planning and strategy, capital market issuances and investor relations. He was associated with PGInvIT since its inception and has served as its Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Shri Sanjay Sharma is the Chief General Manager of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (“POWERGRID”) and is also serving as CEO of POWERGRID Teleservices Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of POWERGRID.
