Railway Board Approves Absorption of Rajeev Kumar Mishra as Director (Way & Works) at KRCL
New Delhi, February 16, 2026: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has conveyed the sanction of the President of India for the immediate absorption of Shri Rajeev Kumar Mishra, IRSE, as Director (Way & Works) in Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL).
Shri Rajeev Kumar Mishra (DOB: 28.08.1968; DITS: 21.02.1994), a permanent Railway officer, will be absorbed in KRCL with effect from October 1, 2025 (Forenoon).

Pension & Retirement Benefits

The officer will draw pension and pro-rata retirement gratuity for services rendered under Indian Railways.

He will be eligible to commute up to 40% of pension.

Pension and gratuity will be calculated as per the Railway Services (Pension) Rules, 2026.

Retirement benefits will be payable after immediate absorption.

Monthly pension will be payable from the date following cessation of Railway service.

The total gratuity for combined service (Railways + KRCL) shall not exceed the admissible amount had he continued in Railway service till retirement.
Family Pension

Family pension eligibility will be governed by the Railway Services (Pension) Rules, 2026.

Railway liability towards family pension will be frozen as on the date of cessation from Railway service.
Pay & Service Conditions in KRCL

Shri Mishra will be free to negotiate his emoluments with KRCL.

Post absorption, he will be governed entirely by KRCL service rules and will be at par with other KRCL employees.

For service rendered in KRCL, he will be entitled to all benefits applicable to corresponding KRCL employees.
Provident Fund & Leave
-
The balance in his State Railway Provident Fund (SRPF) account will be transferred to KRCL’s Provident Fund scheme, subject to consent.

If KRCL does not accept such transfer, the SRPF balance will be paid in cash.

He will be entitled to leave encashment up to 300 days at the time of resignation from Government service, as per applicable Railway Board rules.
The order has been issued under the authority of the Railway Board and signed by the Joint Secretary (Deputation), Railway Board.
