Railway Board Approves Deputation of Himanshu Maheshwari to NHSRCL as Dy CPM (Electrical)

The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Himanshu Maheshwari, IRSEE, to National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited as Deputy Chief Project Manager (Electrical) in Mumbai for five years.

New Delhi:  The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Government of India, has approved the deputation of Shri Himanshu Maheshwari, IRSEE, to the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL). As per the order issued from Rail Bhavan, New Delhi on January 20, 2026, Shri Maheshwari, who is currently serving as Director (Electrical), CAMTECH, RDSO, Lucknow, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Chief Project Manager (Electrical) at Mumbai.

The deputation will be on usual terms, which include parent cadre pay along with deputation allowance, for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The posting is subject to the Government’s approval for granting exemption from the rule of immediate absorption applicable to NHSRCL. The Railway Board has directed that Shri Maheshwari may be relieved from his present assignment to enable him to take up the new role, and the date of his relief should be communicated accordingly.

In a related communication, the Railway Board has informed the Managing Director, NHSRCL, that Shri Maheshwari will be deemed to have been relieved automatically upon completion of the approved deputation period, unless the tenure is formally extended with requisite approvals before its expiry, in line with the DoP&T guidelines dated March 22, 2023. Copies of the order have been circulated to senior officials of the Railway Board and other concerned departments for information and necessary action.
