Rajshree Awasthi Appointed AGM (Mechanical) at RITES Ltd for 3-Year Deputation

New Delhi, 25 Feb 2026: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Ms. Rajshree Awasthi (IRSME), currently Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer, HQ, Western Railway, to RITES Limited as Additional General Manager (Mechanical) at Gurugram.

The deputation is set for a period of three years or until further orders, on the usual terms of deputation, which include parent pay plus deputation allowances. The move is subject to government approval for an exemption from the rule of immediate absorption at RITES Limited.

Ms. Awasthi, born on 3 March 1993, will be responsible for overseeing mechanical operations at RITES, the premier public sector enterprise providing engineering, consultancy, and project management services to the rail and transport sectors.

The Western Railway has been requested to relieve Ms. Awasthi at the earliest so she can take up her new assignment, with the date of relief to be intimated to the Railway Board.
