In a key decision by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), Shri Sangram Kumar Mishra, Deputy General Manager at Engineers India Limited, has been chosen as the next Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL). The announcement came after the PESB Meeting No. 61/2025, which took place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in New Delhi.
The selection meeting included interviews with seven candidates from various major public sector companies, such as Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), and HOCL. The shortlisted candidates demonstrated a mix of technical skills and leadership experience in different strategic sectors.

Shri Mishra, who works at the Delhi Head Office of Engineers India Limited, brings extensive industry knowledge and management skills to the role. His appointment shows PESB's aim to refresh HOCL’s leadership with innovative professionals who have a background in engineering and public enterprise.
