New Delhi: Shri Somesh Bandopadhyay a seasoned electrical engineer has assumed charge as the Regional Executive 𝙳𝚒𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚘𝚛, 𝙽𝚃𝙿𝙲 𝚕𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚍, Eastern Region-II with effect 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 2𝚗𝚍 𝙹𝚞𝚕𝚢 2026. Prior to this assignment he served as the Managing Director of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) where he demonstrated exemplary leadership and made significant contributions to the power sector.

About NTPC Eastern Region-II

Eastern Region-II (ER-II) is one of the key regional operational divisions of NTPC Limited and is responsible for managing several major thermal power stations in eastern India.

The region plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable electricity supply to multiple states and contributes significantly to NTPC's overall generation capacity.
