The appointment was approved by the Hon’ble President of India and communicated by the Ministry of Railways via letter no. 2022/PL/57/10 dated 25 February 2026.

Profile of Shri Vinod Kumar
Shri Vinod Kumar is an Executive Director (Production Units & Workshops) at the Railway Board. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and belongs to the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), 1997 batch. With over 25 years of diverse experience in Indian Railways, he has previously served on the boards of BSCL and BCL (2010–2014) and has experience on deputation with CONCOR.
