Smt. S. Usha Recommended as Director (Market Operations) of Grid-India

New Delhi, October 16, 2025: The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Smt. S. Usha for the post of Director (Market Operation) in Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India). Grid-India is classified as a Schedule A enterprise.

The selection was made at the PESB Meeting No. 96/2025, which was held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 09:30 AM.

Smt. S. Usha currently serves as the Executive Director at the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC), GRID-INDIA, in New Delhi.

She was interviewed alongside ten other applicants for the position, including senior executives from Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, NTPC Limited, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Solar Energy Corporation of India.

At NLDC, Ms. S Usha became the first-ever woman to lead National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC), GRID-INDIA as its Head.

Ms. Usha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engg. from Calicut University and has over three decades of expertise in power system operations and electricity market operations across Southern and Western Regional Load Despatch Centres. As a visionary and dynamic leader, she inspires excellence and sets new benchmarks in the industry.
