NHPC signed MoU with Powergrid
New Delhi: NHPC and Powergrid sign MOU for Accelerated Development of dedicated Transmission Lines and Construction Power Supply Lines. NHPC on 04.03.2020 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Powergrid Corporation of India for Turnkey Execution of Dedicated Transmission lines / Construction Power Supply lines for future NHPC hydropower projects in India.
The MOU was signed by Shri V.K. Maini, Executive Director (Strategy, Business Development & Consultancy) on behalf of NHPC and by Shri T.C. Sarmah, Executive Director (Business Development & Joint Venture) on behalf of Powergrid in the august presence of Shri R.K. Chauhan Director (Projects) Powergrid, Shri Gobinda Baidya, Executive Director (Transmission & Rural Electrification), NHPC and other senior officers from both the organizations. The MOU will pave the way for faster development of dedicated transmission lines and construction power supply lines of all existing and future hydropower projects of NHPC Limited.
