Bengaluru | September 11, 2025 : As part of its capacity-building initiatives under the Vigilance Awareness Programme, BEML Limited organised a talk on cyber security, cyber hygiene and national security at its Corporate Office in Bengaluru. Shri Yashovardhan Azad, IPS (Retd.)—Former Secretary (Security), Government of India; Former Central Information Commissioner; and Former Special Director, Intelligence Bureau—delivered a dynamic address, sharing incisive insights on the imperative to safeguard cyberspace in today’s digital era.

The session drew over 250 participants, including senior executives, officers and non-executives from BEML’s divisions, Regional and District Offices, as well as Chief Vigilance Officers from other PSUs and organisations. Emphasising sound cyber hygiene, the speaker highlighted practical measures such as strong passwords, regular system updates and robust data-protection practices.

He further underscored that cyber security extends beyond individual actions, calling for resilient institutional frameworks, advanced technologies, and a shared responsibility across government, industry, academia and citizens to build a secure and resilient cyber ecosystem. The programme concluded with an engaging and interactive Q&A session.
