The continuous 24 hours strike which included a large number of contract laborers has been unprecedented in the history of BHEL, due to which the work in the factory has been affected. However, the strike goes till Wednesday morning.

Bhopal: BHEL's contract workers were on 24 hours strike in the Bhopal factory on Tuesday due to which the workflow has been affected. According to the sources, the workers in BHEL who worked on a contract basis were raising their voice against the exploitation, being faced by them on day to day basis. 

It is also mentioned that not only workers were not paid by months but the salary of contract workers has also been reduced from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 per month. Keeping this in mind some leaders of BHEL kept a sit-in for their demands but could not get them their due rights.

Further, the contract workers working in BHEL Bhopal are talking to the BHEL management for a long time regarding their demands. In this strike, BHEL Works Contract Shramik Ekta Union President Prashant Pathak, General Secretary Sumit Pateria, Working President Meher Ali, Feroze Khan, Sudhir Dabhane, Shakeel Ansari, Rajkumar Lodhi, Smt. Rakhi Rathore, Assistant General Secretary Sanjeev Verma, Jaipal Singh, Satish Banchodia, A large number of contract laborers including Bhikam Singh, Kamlesh Gupta, Amir Khan, Govind Choukse, Ramesh Chauhan were involved.
