Braithwaite & Co. celebrates National Safety Day

New Delhi: Braithwaite & Co. Ltd. celebrated National Safety Day on March 04, 2022, as an inclusive part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign. The Day was celebrated with an objective to spread awareness about the safety measures to be implemented by the National Safety Council to prevent accidents, the event is celebrated through various activities such as posters of safety messages, slogans, painting competitions, workshops and training programs amongst the employees to make them aware about safety and health.
On this occasion, Shri Salim G. Purushothaman, Director (Production), Shri Kalyan Kumar Coari, Director (Finance), Shri Sanjeev Paruti, Director (The Safety Master Company), Shri A. D. Joshi, General Manager (Vizag Steel Plant), Shri G. V. Krishna Rao, Senior Manager (RINL), in their address, made the employees aware of the safety rules to be followed at the workplace.
In the inaugural speech of the program organized under the theme of National Safety Day 2022 – “Encourage Youth to Develop Safety Culture”, Shri Sanjeev Paruti outlined the important aspects of safety at workplace. He mentioned the need for PPE, weekly security-related conferences, safety alarms, and other useful initiatives. Shri A. D. Joshi said that 88 percent of accidents can be reduced by following safety rules. Making people aware through such programs by the organization is a commendable initiative. At the same time, Shri G. V. Krishna Rao spread awareness on the topic 'General, Industrial and Fire Safety'.
In his address, Shri Kalyan Kumar Coari, Director (Finance), Braithwaite & Co. Ltd. said, “Accident hazards can be reduced by developing proper working habits and understanding of safety. Shri Salim G Purushothaman, Director (Production), Braithwaite & Co Ltd. also said that following safety measures should be a part of our behaviour. He asked the officers and employees to make the company premises a zero-accident Company.
On this occasion, a magazine published by the company HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment)-2022 was also released. Shri P.K. Mishra, General Manager (HR, Administration, Security), Shri A. K. Shahi (Chief Works Manager), Shri P. K. Sinha (Deputy General Manager, I/C), Shri R. P. Srivastava (Administrator, Welding), Shri Sanjit Gangopadhyay (Deputy General Manager, Security), Trade-Union leader Shri Farooque Azam, officers-employees of all sections gathered and made it a success.
