Indian Overseas Bank's Volleyball Team Clinches Victory in All India Tournament

Karnataka, India - In a thrilling display of athleticism and teamwork, Indian Overseas Bank's Volleyball Team emerged triumphant at the All-India Volleyball Tournament held in Kumta, Uttar Karnataka, from May 10th to 12th, 2024. Organized by the Uttar Karnataka District Volleyball Association, the tournament witnessed intense competition among esteemed teams from across the nation.

The tournament showcased the prowess of some of India's finest volleyball teams, including the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Kerala Electricity Board, Karnataka Team, Indian Bank, and of course, the victorious Indian Overseas Bank team.

Under the leadership of Captain Shri N. Shelton Moses, the Indian Overseas Bank team exhibited exemplary skill and determination throughout the tournament. The team's roster, comprising Shri M. Ukkrapandian, Shri N. Naveen Raja Jacob, Shri D. Selvaprabhu, Shri G. R. Vaishnav, Shri S. Karthik, and guided by Coach Shri P. Sundaram, demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and commitment.

The journey to victory was marked by memorable matches, including a hard-fought battle against the Karnataka Team, where Indian Overseas Bank emerged victorious with a score of 3-2. The team's dominance was further evident in their commanding 3-0 win against the Indian Navy.In the semi-finals clash against Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank showcased resilience and skill, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory, setting the stage for an electrifying final showdown.

Although the final match against the Karnataka Team saw a technical walkover, the tournament committee rightfully declared Indian Overseas Bank as the deserving champions, recognizing their outstanding performance and unwavering spirit throughout the tournament.
