Chairman, Coal India Chairs 59th meeting of CIL’s Safety Board

New Delhi: Shri P.M. Prasad, Chairman, Coal India Ltd. (CIL) chaired the 59th meeting of CIL’s Safety Board at its corporate headquarters in Kolkata.
Shri Prabhat Kumar, Director General of Mines Safety , Directorate General of Mines Safety, Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR), CIL, Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Director (Technical), CIL, Shri Manoj Kumar, CMD, WCL, Shri Samiran Dutta, CMD, BCCL, Shri Bhola Singh, CMD, NCL, Shri O.P. Singh, CMD, MCL, Shri Niladri Roy, Director (Technical), ECL, representatives of the Trade Unions, Associations, safety board members, and senior officials from CIL & DGMS attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, CIL advised the subsidiary companies to impart Virtual Reality (VR) training for Heavy Earth Moving Machine (HEMM) operators.

Deliberations were also held on various measures taken for enhancing the safety standards of mines and future roadmap for the same.
