Expansion of banking network said Naveen Patnaik CM of Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Chief Minister said that the expansion of banking network will ease in welfare programmes during COVID-19 pandemic.
In an inauguration of HDFC’s eight branch Mr. Naveen Patnaik address through a video conference about the expansion of banking network all over the state to fight with the financial crisis. He said the initiative have made Odisha a model state in the country in terms of financial inclusion of all sections of the society.
He added “I am happy that HDFC Bank expanding its branch network in semi-urban and rural areas of Odisha”. This is the vison towards supporting the banking officials and people by providing opening of jobs by opening further branches of the banks.
CM of Odisha also said he is hoping the bank will extent and show their gratitude towards corporate social responsibility and support them with essential services. The private lender has a network of 150 branches and 276 ATMs in the state. Over 60 per cent of these are in the semi-urban and rural areas, the bank official said. The lender also plans to set up 73 additional business correspondent points in the state.
