Hardeep Singh Puri to Lead Global Energy Talks at India Energy Week 2026 in Goa
New Delhi: India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 is set to emerge as the world’s first major international energy event of the year, bringing together global policymakers, energy ministers, CEOs, investors, and technology leaders at a crucial juncture for the global energy sector. The four-day event will be held from January 27 to 30, 2026, at ONGC ATI, Goa.
Over the years, India Energy Week has grown significantly in scale and influence. IEW 2026 is expected to witness participation from over 75,000 delegates, more than 600 exhibitors, and representation from 180 international exhibitors. The event will feature over 120 conference sessions and nearly 500 speakers, reflecting India’s growing leadership role in global energy dialogue.
The exhibition will be organised across 11 thematic zones hosted by leading public sector undertakings, covering areas such as digitalisation and artificial intelligence, hydrogen, renewable energy, petrochemicals, biofuels, LNG ecosystem, city gas distribution, Make in India, and India’s Net-Zero roadmap. New additions this year include a Nuclear Energy Zone and a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Zone.
Ministerial and leadership participation remains a key highlight, with 17 ministers and deputy ministers confirmed from countries including the UAE, Canada, Netherlands, Oman, Brunei, Zimbabwe, and Trinidad and Tobago, among others. International organisations such as the International Energy Forum (IEF), BIMSTEC, and the Eurasian Economic Union will also take part.
India Energy Week 2026 will also serve as a platform for major business agreements. Key announcements include shipbuilding contracts involving ONGC, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Samsung Heavy Industries, a long-term crude oil supply agreement between BPCL and Petrobras valued at USD 780 million, and multiple strategic MoUs covering LNG sourcing, upstream collaborations, and a proposed 200 KTPA Sustainable Aviation Fuel project in Odisha.
Several high-level side events and roundtables are planned, including the Prime Minister’s Roundtable with global CEOs, India-Arab Energy Dialogue, India-Japan and India-Netherlands energy roundtables, and dedicated forums to strengthen India-US energy and investment ties.
The event will also place strong emphasis on innovation and startups through initiatives such as Avinya 2026, Vasudha 3.0, and a national-level energy hackathon involving leading IITs. In addition, key reports including the “India Bioenergy Outlook 2030” by IEA and PPAC will be launched during the event.
With its growing scale, strategic partnerships, and focus on clean energy transition, India Energy Week 2026 is expected to play a critical role in shaping the future of global energy cooperation.
