HDFC Bank holds its position still in No1 BANK NEWS
New Delhi: India’s largest private lender HDFC Bank holds its top position among the country’s 75 most valuable brands, with the brand value at $20.2 billion, according to a report by WPP Plc and Kantar.
The HDFC Bank is holding its position from continuous seven years followed by the Life Insurance Corporation and Tata Consultancy Services.
In this socio and economic challenging phase, the BrandZ Top 75 Most Valuable Indian brands list has declined in brand value. Only 11 brands managed to grow consistently in the last five years including Reliance Industries Ltd, which registered a 102% jump in brand value and became the fastest gainer this year at number 25.
David Roth, chief executive of The Store WPP, EMEA and Asia and Chairman of BrandZ, said “Brands globally are being tested by the pandemic, especially in countries such as India where the economy was slowing down before COVID-19. Many Indian brands have risen to the challenge and demonstrated their ability to innovate and adapt in world-class ways. Our analysis proves once again that companies who invest in the brand building are better placed to survive such challenges and come out stronger."
