On 6th December 2024, Shri Kamlesh Soni assumed the role of Regional Executive Director (West-I), NTPC. Before this assignment in the Western Region-I, Shri Soni served as the CEO of the Meja Project.

Shri Soni, a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Jodhpur University, began his professional journey with NTPC in 1987 as an Executive Trainee. Over an illustrious career spanning 37 years, he has excelled in diverse roles across critical areas such as Operations, MTP, O&M, and OS.

His contributions have significantly impacted several NTPC locations, including CC-EOC, Badarpur, Ramagundam, Jhajjar, Sipat, Meja, Unchahar, WR Headquarters, and Gadarwara.

Shri Soni's pivotal role as the Head of Project (BUH) at Unchahar and Gadarwara, as well as his exemplary leadership as the CEO of Meja, are noteworthy. His strategic vision and dedication have consistently driven project excellence.

During his interaction with employees, Shri Soni emphasized the importance of collaboration and open communication in the workplace. He encouraged employees to share their ideas and feedback, fostering an environment of inclusivity and innovation.
