MOIL's three mines bagged award at 6th National Conclave on Mines and Minerals
New Delhi: MOIL Limited's three mines (Kandri Mine, Gumgaon mine, and Chikla mine) bagged awards at the 6th National Conclave on Mines and Minerals during the Iconic Week Celebration.
A Miniratna, Schedule 'A', PSU at present operates 11 mines in adjoining districts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Eight of MOIL's eleven mines are underground mines (Kandri, Munsar, Beldongri, Gumgaon, Chikla, Balaghat, and Ukwa mines) and three are opencast mines (Dongri Buzurg, Sitapatore, and Tirodi).
MOIL uses its ore to produce 11,000 tonne of ferro-manganese. The total sales were Rs. 16.3 billion in 2018.19 but only Rs. 12.2 billion in 2019–20.
