New Delhi, 18 September 2025: The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of state-owned Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVN).
The current CMD of SJVN is Bhupender Gupta, who will continue to hold the additional charge of the company's chairman and managing director (CMD) for another three months beginning August 1. Meanwhile, Bhupendra Gupta has now been selected as the new Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC Ltd. and assumed the role on 4 September.

The Chairman and Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Company and accountable to its Board of Directors and the Government of India/shareholders. He/she is responsible for the efficient functioning of the company and for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
The applicant should be an engineering graduate/chartered accountant/cost accountant/postgraduate/graduate with an MBA/PGDIM from a leading institute and should possess cumulative experience/exposure for at least five years during the last ten years in finance/business development/production/operations/marketing/project management in a large organization of repute.
