OIL signs MoU with AMCH for Hospital building construction

Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh, for the construction of a state-of-the-art 37-bedded multi-storied patient care cabin facility and a tertiary care referral hospital, at Rs 8.9 crore.

The MoU was signed by Anfor Ali Haque, resident chief executive, of OIL, and Dr Sanjeev Kakati, AMCH principal, in the presence of Dibrugarh district commissioner Bikram Kairi, OIL’s executive director (HR&FA) Madhurjya Barua, chief general manager (FA) Debashis Bora and other senior officials from OIL and AMCH, respectively.

"AMCH, the first medical college of the northeast region is a pivotal government healthcare institution, providing healthcare to patients across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and other neighboring northeastern states. Over the years, the hospital has seen an increasing demand for subsidized treatment and a need for an improved and adequate infrastructure.

Thus, the new facility to be made at the heart of OIL’s operational area of upper Assam is envisioned to strengthen the healthcare delivery system,” OIL said in a statement."

Additionally, the company had also won the Dun & Bradstreet PSU Excellence Awards 2024 in the categories of Crude Oil (Central PSU) & Best Maharatna. This Award acknowledges & felicitates the leading Central PSUs in India based on business performance & path breaking initiatives.
