Mr OP Singh assumes additional charge of CMD, MCL

New Delhi: Mr. OP Singh, Director (Tech/Operations), today assumed the additional charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). A mining engineer with a first-class competency certificate, Mr. Singh has held various senior positions in mine planning and production management in both underground and opencast projects during his long experience of about 37 years in the coal industry.

Immediately after assuming the charge, the new CMD chaired a coordination meeting with the senior officials of MCL. Before joining MCL as Director (Technical) in 2016, Mr. Singh had served for more than 32 years in Bilaspur (CG)-headquartered South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and Coal Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), Bilaspur.

Soon after assuming charge, the new CMD chaired a meeting with the senior officers and union representatives. Shri Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel) and Shri P K Patel, CVO, MCL were prominent among senior officers present at the meeting.
