Power Grid emerges successful bidder under TBCB for two inter-state transmission projects
State-run Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Power Grid) announced that it has been awarded successful bids for two significant projects through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. These projects aim to enhance India’s Inter-State Transmission System.
The projects said to be executed under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model, involve key upgrades to substations in Gujarat and Karnataka. The first project will augment transformation capacity at KPS1 and KPS2 (Phase-V, Part B1 & B2), which are under construction in Gujarat.
The first project will involve augmenting the transformation capacity at Bidar PS. It includes installing 3x500 MVA, 400/220kV ICTs, and 1x1500 MVA, 765/400kV ICTs at a substation in Karnataka.

Shares of Power Grid ended 3% lower at Rs 306.60 on the BSE on Monday.
